Desmond Irving, CTS President

Desmond B. Irving has served as the President of Connection Training Services (CTS) since 2009. In this capacity, he has managed the most significant expansion in the organization’s history.

Since the founding of CTS in 1994, Mr. Irving has served as Treasurer and Chief Financial officer until selected President by the Board of Directors in 2009. CTS has 50 employees.

He has expanded CTS from a small vocational training organization to one providing holistic services to disadvantaged populations of Philadelphia including education, mentoring, job readiness and life skills, certified vocational training, job placement and retention services and placement in colleges, the military and Job Corps.

Mr. Irving has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Scotlandyard Security Services, Inc. since 1992. Under his fiscal management, Scotlandyard has experienced sustained growth to more than 500 officers and has shown a profit with a stable fiscal profile every year.

Mr. Irving earned his MBA degree in Accounting and Finance with Honors from Eastern University in 2006 and his BS degree in Accounting from Cheyney University with Honors in 1990.
